Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos kidnapped in Venezuela

Wilson Ramos, one of the Washington Nationals’ most promising young baseball players, was kidnapped at gunpoint Wednesday night from his family’s home in Venezuela, leaving the team in a state of shock and raising questions about the safety of playing in a country ravaged in recent years by kidnappings and street crime.

Shame on Joe!

"The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital." - Joe Paterno.

This one of my favorite quotes from one of my all-time favorite sports figures.  But shame on Joe Paterno and shame on Penn State!  A coaches job is to teach, to encourage and to protect.  With out any one of those three, you can not be considered a true coach.  Penn State and Joe Paterno did not protect their athletes.  If you have knowledge of molestation and rape in your program it is up to YOU to report the incident.  Not just to the Athletic Director but to the police.

I am beyond disgusted with the news of the 40, yes I said it, 40 counts of sexual abuse of children. The first accusation was reported in 1998.  In all honesty, I am not only concerned with the coaches that failed to correctly report the incidents but I am also concerned about the parents that failed to report the acts to any law enforcement officials.  This is just a hot mess!

And it top it off....Paterno, as of this morning, plans to finish the season with the team. A friend of mine, Carl A. Kemp to be exact, posed the question; Why is it the African-American athletes that except gifts are suspended immediately but an old white man that looks the other way to child molestation stays put?  I'm disgusted and open to feed back.

Success without honor is an unseasoned dish; it will satisfy your hunger, but it won't taste good.              Joe Paterno

There's no flinching in Football!

So yesterday, Mark Sanchez was caught looking scurred at the line of scrimmage. At 6'2 and 225 lbs I guess Mark might be a little intimidated by the 6'0 193lbs. Drayton Florence??????  Pahaaaaaaaaaaa!
Sanchez started slow in the first half with two picks, but pulled it together in the second half to go 20-for-28 for 230 yards and a touchdown pass as the Jets blasted the Buffalo Bills 27-11.The poor boy even got himself a holding call on the very same play.  Hilarious!

It's week 9 of the fantasy football season and there may not seem to be much available on the waiver wire. However, if you dig a little deeper you may find some hidden gems.  Some of the best players are now out for the season and some need to out for the season. OK, maybe these players do not need to be out for the season but I think we all have players on our rosters now we would like to drop.   I've picked up a few of these gems myself simply because I'm always itching to  drop a few dudes this time of the season.  Today, The Bleacher Report dropped a little science for all of us.   Here are the top seven available players on Week 10's waiver wire.

Lingere Football: Have they gone too far????

Women in the skivies playing tackle football....I really don't see the problem but I know many would disagree.  I've heard it all, they're giving young girls the wrong message to woman again have found another way to exploit themselves sexually.  Puh-leeze!  We as women are objects of most men's desire.  It's true! It's life!  The women of Lingerie Football are obviously smart to add an additional 8K to 10K to their annual salary. There are obviously incredibly strong and super sexy. But has Lingerie Football gone to far by offering camps for young girls????  You be the judge...
